Winifred F. Haarsma

Mrs. Winifred F. Haarsma, age 47, of Orange City, passed away Sunday, December 4, 1988 at her rural residence, after a long illness.

Winifred Faye was born October 12, 1941, at Rock Rapids, the daughter of Henry J. Kuiper and Clazena Vander Meulen Kuiper.

On December 2, 1958, she married Eugene Haarsma at Hospers. They made their home at Orange City.

"Fritz" was a member at the First Christian Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Alan and his wife, Joyce, of Wyoming, Michigan; Diana, and her husband, David Kooima, of Rock Valley; and Evan and Brent, both of Orange City; two grandchildren, Travis and Sarah Kooima; brother, John Kuiper, of Hospers; and sister, Mrs. Marvin (Delores) De Jong, of Orange City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Harriet Kuiper.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 6, at the First Christian Reformed Church, with the Revs. Ralph A. Pontier and Henry Vander Kam
officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the VanEtten-Oolman-VanGelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Memorials are being directed to Hospice and Cheers.
