From The Sioux County Herald, Orange City, Iowa, March 4, 1908:

Last Wednesday Mrs. Frank Mieras died at her home in Maurice. She was taken suddenly ill and passed away unexpectedly. Mrs. Mieras (Kittie Hospers) was born at LeMars in 1882. She spent her childhood days at Harrision, S.D., where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hospers had moved. About eight years after the death of her father she came to this city with her mother and family and lived here for about five years, leaving for Sheldon three years ago. For several years before her marriage, which took place last summer, Mrs. Mieras taught in the city school at Maurice. The deceased leaves her husband, and infant child besides her other relatives to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at Maurice Friday afternoon in the American Reformed Church, Rev. J. A. De Spelder conducting the service.
