MRS. MIERAS DEATH CAME AFTER 3 DAYS
RESPECTED MAURICE PIONEER PASSED SUDDENLY BEYOND

Mrs. Lou Mieras died Sunday morning after a short illness of uremia, a complication of Bright's Disease. Ever since she was taken so seriously ill two years ago last December she hasn't been feeling well. But she was able to be up Friday afternoon when she was taken sick with uremia. Mrs. Mieras at the time of her death was 58 years, 8 months, and 4 days of age. Jennie Mieras, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Mieras (both of whom are dead now) was born in Wemeldinge, Holland on the 11th of May 1866. When she was 22 years of age she and her brother Will, now living in North Yakima, Wash., came to America and settled at Maurice, where she has made her home ever since. In November 1888, she was united in marriage to Louis Mieras to which union eight children were born. They are, Mrs. Jake Melchers of Maurice, Mrs. James Ard of Alton, Mrs. John Kemp of Bozeman, Mont., Adrian, Jake, Peter, and Lucy who are at home yet. On the 29th of May 1906, her husband passed away after several weeks of illness. Besides her children she is survived by five brothers and one sister, Louis of Wemeldinge, Holland, Will of North Yakima, Jas. of Hudson, S.D., John and Johannes of Maurice, and Mrs. Johannes Oldenkamp of Rock Valley. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 at the house and 2:00 at the Am. Ref. Church.
