Obituary: LeMars Sentinel- August 20, 1918- Mrs. Henry Bonnema (Gertrude Postma), residing southeast of Ireton, died Monday morning from diabetes at the age of 56 years and 10 months. She had been seriously ill for about three weeks. She was born in Holland and came to America when she was six years of age, making her home in Chicago. She was united in marriage to her bereaved husband, December 4, 1883. Nine years ago they came to Ireton and have since made their home in this vicinity. Besides her husband, she leaves four children to mourn her death.
