Invitations are out for the marriage of Anthony Te Paske and Miss Agnes Dykstra both of Sioux Center. The marriage will take place in the First Reformed church at Sioux Center July second.
Mr. Te Paske was born of Dutch parents at Greenleafton, Minnesota in October 1866. He came to Sioux county in the spring of 1874, and has had his home here ever since. He graduated from Iowa college at Grinnell in 1892, and from Harvard university at Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1893. He occupied the chair of English at the Northwestern Classical academy at Orange City from 1893 to 1897 and read law, and was admitted to the bar May 1897 and has since been a member of the law firm of Orr & Te Paske, who have offices at Orange City and Sioux Center. He came to Sioux Center in October 1898. He was elected mayor of Sioux Center in 1900 and re-elected last spring, and still holds that position and was elected county attorney of Sioux county on the republican ticket in 1900 and was re-elected last election.
Miss Agnes Dykstra was born in the Netherlands and came to Sioux county when three years old and has resided here since. She graduated from the classical academy at Orange City in 1900 and was prominent in literary work and editor of the academy paper. She has spent several years teaching school and during the past year was intermediate teacher in the Sioux Center public school.
They are among Sioux county's most prominent people and highly respected by their large circle of friends. They will make their home at Sioux Center.
