Dimmick-Peters

Wedding vows were exchanged by Diane Dimmick, daughter of Mrs. Glenn Dimmick and the late Mr. Dimmick of Hawarden, and Larry Charles Peters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Peters of Hawarden, Friday evening April 16 at the Methodist Church in Hawarden, Rev. G. S, Bruland officiating at the double ring ceremony.

Douglas Brunsting and Douglas Peters were the candle lighters. Dorinda VerHoeven was the organist and accompanied Mrs. Ralph Gregg who sang "Bless The House and the Lords Prayer. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, James Dimmick of Eagle Grove, Iowa chose a floor length gown of polyester crepe with lace bodice and long sleeves with train of bonded lace. She carried a bouquet of white pom-pom mums and red roses and wore a cultured pearl necklace, a gift from the groom. Sharon Terpstra, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, with Kathy Dimmick, sister of the bride as bridesmaid. They wore identical floor length gowns of pink bonded lace and carried a long stemmed red rose.

Donna Jean Dimmick, niece of the bride was flower girl and Jeff Dimmick, cousin of the bride was ring bearer. David Peters, brother of the groom was best man, with Raymond Dimmick, brother of the bride as groomsman. Ushers were Bud Dimmick and Marc Schwiesow. A reception was held following the ceremony with Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Williams pouring the punch and Miss Carol McMillan registering the guests. Mrs. Lucille Brunsting and Mrs. Roy Dimmick aunts of the bride, presided at the silver service. Mrs. Herb McMillan and Mrs. Russell Westad cut the four tiered wedding cake.

Waitresses were Linda Brunsring, Alice Mapes, Pat McManaman, Barb Chriswisser and Georgia Hughes. Holly Peters and Byone Rich carried the gifts and Shirley Dimmick and Mrs. Judy Liston opened and displayed the gifts. Kitchen help was Bernice Hedden, Florence Larson, Ruby Marshall, Laura Bryson and Ida Muth.

Mr, and Mrs.Larry Peters are now residing in Hawarden.
