FOLKERS-DIMMICK VOWS SPOKEN

MR, AND MRS. RAYMOND DIMMICK

Wedding vows were exchanged by Ronna Folkers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Folkers of Melvin, and Raymond Dimmick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Dimmick of Hawarden, Friday evening, April 18 at the American Lutheran church in Melvin. Rev. H. H. Adex officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Richard Folkers and Russell Folkers were the candle lighters. Sally Beckman of Storm Lake was the organist and accompanied Tom Granes of Melvin as he sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor-length gown of antique satin with a cummerbund waist, back bow and train. She carried a Bible corsage of white carnations and wore a cultured pearl necklace, a gift from the groom. Valerie Scheerhorn of Denver, Colorado, was maid of honor, with Renee Folkers, sister of the bride, and Dianne Dimmiek, sister of the groom, as bridesmaids. Rita Folkers, sister of the bride, and Lynette Strenge, cousin of the bride, were flower girls.

The gowns of the attendants and flower girls wore floor-length of powder blue satin with bows in back. They wore white elbow-length gloves, white patent shoes,and single pearl necklaces. They each carried a long-stemmed rose with blue streamers. Ronnie and Reggie Folkers, brothers of the bride, were the ring bearers.

Randy Folkers, brother of the bride, was best man, with Gerald Powell of Hawarden and James Dimmick, brother of the groom, as groomsmen. Ushers were Stanley Olsen of Joyce and Dennis Brunsting of Hawarden. The men of the wedding party wore dark suits and ties.

A reception was held following the ceremony with Mr. and Mrs, Waynand Strenge of Melvin and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Brunk of Hartley serving as hosts and hostesses. Kathy Dimmick registered the guests. Mrs. Herb McMillan and Miss Linda Brunsting, both of Hawarden, served the punch and Mrs. Marty Krose of Sanborn and Mrs. Roy Dimmick of Hawarden presided at the silver service. Mrs. Orlando Olsen of Joyce cut the four-tiered wedding cake. Waitresses were Darla Van Meeteren, Sherry Mastbergan, Shirley Dimmick, and Vickie Larson. Rae Ann Folkers, Shelly Larson, Patty Klosterman, and Nancy Krose carried the gifts, and
Roxann Krose, Mrs. Dennis Brunk and Mrs. Ervan Klosterman opened and displayed them.

Following a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Dimmick are now residing in Hawarden.
