GOLDEN WEDDING

Mr. and Mrs. William Dittmer of Ireton observed their golden wedding anniversary at their home at a family dinner, Sunday, Oct. 25th. The guests were seated at a long table decorated with gilted candles and gold appointments; the centerpiece was a lovely three tiered wedding cake. Yellow roses, chrysanthemums and mums were presented the honored couple. A sumptuous 3 course dinner was served the following: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Twillman and Dale, (Mrs. is a daughter), Mr. and Mrs. Milton Dittmer and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Dittmer, Catherine Ann and Bruce. (Messers Dittmers are sons of the honored; Gustave Dittmer of Rock Island, Illinois, brother of Mr. Dittmer who serviced as best man 50 years ago; Henry Dittmer of Le Mars and Mrs. Gusta Rademacker of Guttenberg, brother and sister of Mr. Dittmer; Mr. and Mrs. J. Fredlake of Madison, Wis., Otto Fredlake of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Gusta Cossutt of Guttenberg, brothers and sister of Mrs. Dittmer; Miss Myrtle Dittmer of Le Mars, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Heidbrink, Miss Ruth and Virgil of Ireton and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Uschkrat and Carma of Hubbard.

Mr. and Mrs. Dittmer were married at St. John's Lutheran church in Guttenberg and came here in the same year where they lived on the same farm since marriage; their daughter Mrs. Harold Twillman and family reside with them. Mr. Dittmer was born Nov. 12, 1873 and Mrs. Dittmer was born June 12, 1874; both are 74 years of age.
