A pretty wedding was solemnized last Wednesday afternoon when Miss Clara
Winterfeld and Mr. Frank Schlumbohm were united in marriage at the Lutheran
Church of Plato Twp., Rev. Gillman officiating. Miss Minnie Heuer, cousin
of the groom, was bridesmaid, and Henry Winterfeld, brother of the bride,
acted as best man. The bride wore a gown of white georgette, beaded, with
wreath of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of bride’s roses. The
bridesmaid wore a frock of light blue silk messaline. After the service the
newlyweds and relatives were served a big wedding feast at the Winterfeld
home. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Winterfeld
and is a popular and charming young lady. The groom is the youngest son of
Mrs. Fred Schlumbohm and is a young man of splendid character. They went to
LeMars and Marcus to visit relatives and friends and on their return will
make their home on the groom’s farm north of Ireton. Their many friends wish
them great joy and happiness.
