DIED-In Harlan, August 2d, 1879, of quick consumption, Mrs. Mary Goff, in the twenty-seventh year of her age.

Quite a large congregation assembled at the Baptist Church, last Sabbath, to hear Mrs. Goff's funeral sermon. The Rev. Parker officiated, assisted by the Congregational and Christian ministers of this place The opening piece "Drifting into the Harbor," was very touchingly rendered by Mrs. Burgin and Mrs. Potter. The sermon was appropriate and feeling. The music was very creditably rendered by the choir with Mrs. Elser at the organ. The last days of the deceased were relieved by the kind ministrations of relations and friends who ministered to her wants in the tenderest manner. Friends and neighbors followed the remains to their last resting place in "Hillside Cemetery," just east of town.
