WILLIAM BROADHURST was born England, Dec. 4, 1854, and died in Harlan Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. His trouble, we understand, was pleuro-pneumonia in an aggravated form. His illness was short and death very sudden. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Franklin at the E. Church, Monday forenoon, and the remains were placed in Hillside Cemetery. He was a genial kind-hearted young man, and during his short residence here had made many warm friends, who will long miss him; but the loss falls with especial weight on a circle of mourning relatives, who feel the bereavement most keenly. The HERALD does but reflect the sentiments of this entire community, in exending heartfelt sympathy to these friends and relatives, now bending beneath this visitation of Providence.
