Military service: U. S. Army from June 1953 to May 1955; he served during the Korean War in Company B of the 145th Infantry Regiment, earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal; honorably discharged

Marriage: Doris Kremer; Feb. 11, 1956; location not provided

Employment: His employment history consisted of him driving truck for various farmers and businesses, worling at packing houses, farming, working on the railroad, as a welder, and as a home beer brewer. Ken and Doris were owners of Blum’s Place Bar for several years.

Hobbies/Interests: Loved dancing with Doris; together, they spent many winters in Mission, TX enjoying friends there and mild weather; loved woodworking, playing pool, fishing, playing cards, puzzles, and was a captain of a slow pitch softball team
