Employment: After graduation, Phyllis worked in Red Oak, IA, and then stayed home to raise her children; later, she was employed by Hansen Egg in Griswold, IA and also drove a school bus for the Griswold School system. Phyllis finished her working years at the Griswold Care Center in the kitchen, helping to feed the residents (which included her mother, Hazel).

Hobbies/Interests: With Glen, she enjoyed square dancing, bowling, and golfing with their friends; enjoyed playing bridge, pinochle, and pitch with her friends in Griswold and Atlantic, IA
