Employment: Employed as a farmhand for numerous farmers; he then sold auto parts in Dunlap, IA as well as having worked at a service garage in Logan, IA. He eventually began operating heavy equipment at the rock quarry in Logan, IA, and then started his own bulldozer business, which he had from 1978 to 1998.

Hobbies/Interests: working on his bulldozer; watching sports; fishing; time spent with his children and grandchildren
