Education: Graduated from Hancock High school in 1952; after his military service and 20 years as a farmer, Harold went on to further his education and received his Associates Degree in Tool and Die from Iowa Western Community College, Council Bluffs, IA

Military service: Drafted into the U. S. Army; served between the Korean and Vietnam wars, and was assigned to Germany. Honorably discharged.

Hobbies/Interests: Being outdoors fishing, hunting and gardening; also enjoyed playing bingo, working Sudoku puzzles, going on walks, and time spent with his grandchildren.
