Employment: After completing high school, Lois worked as a nanny and housekeeper in the area before moving to Omaha, NE, in 1944. There, she worked as a maid and nanny for a physician and his family.

Hobbies/Interests: Was an accomplished seamstress and made a lot of clothes as well as doll clothes for her children. She created hundreds of patchwork quilts over the years, most of which were donated to charity. Beginning in 1969, Lois enjoyed volunteering at the local nursing home, Little Flower Haven.
