Education: Attended country school and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, Dunlap, IA. Fran shared the honor of being valedictorian with her sister, Elaine.
Religious affiliation: Baptized at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dunlap, IA, in May 1948, and was an active member there her entire life. She played the organ or piano for many services and served in the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.

Employment: After completing high school, Fran went to work at Mutual of Omaha. After her marriage, she farmed with her husband. Later, she worked as and retired from being a teaching assistant at Boyer Valley School in Dunlap, IA.
Hobbies/Interests: enjoyed cake decorating, family gatherings, playing cards, and going to the casino; she served as the cook at the Dunlap Senior Center.
