Employment: While he was a senior in high school, Jim worked at the Denison Seed House, and then at the Crawford County Bank, and REC before serving in the military. After completing his college education, Jim farmed with his wife and later also became office manager at the Denison Municipal Utilities while continuing his farming duties. After 33 years, he retired from Denison Municipal Utilities and spent his retirement years working on farm improvement projects and delivering cars for Adams Motors.

Hobbies/Interests: Time spent with his family, including being involved with the kids’ school activities and 4-H, trail rides with the horses, boating and skiing, bicycle rides, and kayaking; when his grandchildren came along, he loved giving tractor rides, going fishing, building a tree house, taking family hiking trips in Sedona, enjoying the hot springs in Colorado, exploring the islands of Hawaii and taking an extended trip to Alaska with Karen.
