Employment: Nurse; over the years, she was employed at the Rose Vista Nursing Home, Woodbine, IA, for the U.S. Public Health Service in Kuskokwim and other areas in Yukon, AK, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA, for the St. Anthony’s Hospital systems in Denver and Westminster, CO, and for Christian Health Care West in Springfield, MO. She retired in 2007.

Hobbies/Interests: Volunteered at the Astor House Hotel and Museum in Golden, CO, with Friends of the Library in Springfield, MO, and the state register for clinical supervisors and Missouri HealthCare Association; loved gardening, playing the piano and the guitar, and reading
