Education: Graduated from St. Cecilia’s Catholic School, Hastings, NE, Class of 1955; after her graduation, Nancy was trained to work as a surgical technician at St. Catherine’s Hospital, Omaha, NE. In 1980, Nancy attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA, taking classes to become a medical intake receptionist for Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, IA.

Religious affiliation: Baptized and confirmed at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Hastings, NE; was also a minister of the Eucharist and a choir member for St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth, IA for many years
