Employment: After graduation, Cliff worked for the West Iowa telephone Company for 3 years until joining the U. S. Air Force. After his military service, he worked for Jake Lindblom repairing TVs and appliances, until about 1963, when Cliff became employed by Max Metz, the International Harvester dealer. In 1967, he was employed by Jack Long, selling and servicing appliances and laying floor coverings for Long’s Home Furnishings. The following year, he and Barb went into partnership with the furniture side of Long’s business. Then, in 1972, they became sole owners of Long’s Home Furnishings until it closed in 1986, then Cliff worked as a custodian at the Cass County Courthouse until he retired.
Hobbies/Interests: Was a talented artist, woodworker and woodcarver; enjoyed working on cars; listening to music; member, American Legion in Anita, IA, was a past member of the Chamber of Commerce there, and was a member of the Anita Volunteer Fire Department Old-timers
