Military service: U. S. Army, 1975; basic training at Fort Leonardwood, MO; was then stationed in Ft Rucker, AL until Jan. 1976, when he went to Stuttgart, Germany with the 56th Artillery A13 Platoon; honorably discharged June 9, 1977

Marriage: Jane Stessman; May 22, 1982; St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Defiance, IA; divorced in 2004

Employment: after his military time, Cliff worked at Farmland in Denison, IA, Clark Red-E Mix, and Sta-Bilt before joining his dad in the family Kruse Trucking business in 1982. After 9 years, he left there and went to work for Farm Service Co-Op for 25 years until Feb. 2016.

Hobbies/Interests: riding his motorcycle, going to the races, camping, golfing, football, and time with his family
