Funeral services: Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015; Pauley Jones Funeral Home, Avoca, IA; Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Avoca, IA

Survived by: Son, Fred Miller (spouse, Marlene Maassen) of Avoca, IA; granddaughter, Kellie Maassen and her children, Daulton and Emma of Avoca, IA; sisters, Eloise Haight of Minden, IA and Jeanette “Nettie” Michaelsen of Walnut, IA; nephews; nieces; friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Roy B. and Alma Rose (nee Jensen) Kirkpatrick; husband of 63 years, Fritz; brothers, Dale and Calvin; sisters, Irene and Jane

Education: attended grade school at the France School House outside of Shelby, IA; graduated from Shelby (IA) High School, Class of 1950. The triplets were very close throughout their lives. In school they were given colored bracelets to tell them apart; Jo’s bracelet was her favorite color, red.

Religious affiliation: baptized at the Presbyterian Church in Avoca, IA; member, United Church of Christ, Avoca, IA

Marriage: Fred “Fritz” Miller; May 26, 1950; Denison, IA

Employment: A farm wife for many years, she also worked at the Sale Barn, Red’s Café, and helped run and was co-owner of “Miller Time” in Walnut, IA. More recently, she was employed at Avoca Super Foods Grocery Store.

Hobbies/Interests: quilting; canning
