He then drove dump trucks and redi-mix trucks for several years while living in Denison and Carroll, IA. He next moved to Manning, IA, where he was employed as a hospital custodian for 6 years until becoming disabled.

Hobbies/Interests: Pat enjoyed nice cars, rebuilding his blue Chevy Nova with friends while still in high school. Among his favorites were his white Monte Carlo SS, his Olds Cutlass, his red 4-wheel drive pickup and his first Harley Davidson. He enjoyed listening to music daily, particularly classic rock of the 70's and 80's. He enjoyed building model cars and also collected Hot Wheels. Pat cherished his family and friends.
