After her marriage, she farmed with her husband on 4 different farms, all within Lincoln Township (Shelby County, IA). In 1961, Wendell and Virginia moved to Lake City, IA; there, she worked in Farley’s Fabric and Fashion store. They returned to Harlan in 1980.
Hobbies/Interests: was a 4-H Leader for several years; in 1948, Virginia was named Shelby County Farm Bureau Women’s Homemaker of the Year. Member, the Priscilla Society, Harlan, IA; member, the S S Club in Lincoln Township (IA).
