Religious affiliation: was an active member of and served on the board of directors of the Elk Horn Lutheran Church, Elk Horn, IA

Military service: Enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps; honorably discharged.

Marriage: Shirley Fredrickson; Aug. 31, 1958; Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, IA

Employment: after his military service, he worked for Carl Bonneson as a carpenter in Elk Horn, IA. After his marriage, he and Shirley farmed, retiring in 1995.

Hobbies/Interests: member, Southwest Iowa Farm Business Association; member, Elk Horn (IA) Saddle Club; served as leader of the Rorbeck Rambler 4-H Club; was Beef Superintendent at the Shelby County Fair. Throughout his life, Dale enjoyed his family, dancing, riding horses, and carpentry work. Dale and Shirley spent many weekends traveling to watch their grandchildren participate in sporting and dance activities.
