Paul Peter Eischeid, son of William and Bernadine (Dalhoff) Eischeid was born August 3, 1922 in Carroll, Iowa. Paul graduated from St. Paul High School in Defiance, Iowa in 1940.

On October 18, 1958 he was married to Betty Inez Lux at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lidderdale, Iowa by Frather Robert Philips. He worked for his father in the Eischeid Grocery in Defiance, Iowa from 1937-1951. He worked for the Carroll Times Herald in the advertising department from 1953-1986. Paul was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish and an Honorary Life Member of the Carroll Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and a game of horse shoes.

Paul died early Wednesday morning, July 16, 2008, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.

Paul is survived by his wife Betty of Carroll, a brother-in-law Fred Kaus of Carroll and a niece and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Irma M. Kaus and a brother Alver Eischeid, in infancy.
