Religious affiliation: Wilma was a member of the Minden (IA) Congregational Church as a child, and she and Charles joined the Shelby (IA) United Methodist Church, where she remained a member.

Employment: Farmers; they lived on several farms in the Shelby and Minden areas (IA) before purchasing the Best family farmstead in 1965.

Hobbies/Interests: Many members of the family received pieces of her beautiful hand work. She also enjoyed flowers and grew roses, her favorite flower.
