Hobbies/Interests: Susan was married three times and the mother of one daughter, Carrie, but no one was strong enough to tame her wild spirit. She spent many of her years living around the Des Moines and Ankeny, Iowa area. But, restless, she moved to California. Although she eventually returned to her home state of Iowa, she spent the rest of her years yearning to return to California. Before multiple sclerosis took away her independence, Susie enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and cooking. She was a do-it-yourself kind of gal who took on life’s curve balls with an adventurous, carefree attitude. Besides lighting up the lives of all that knew her, Susie’s greatest accomplishment was that of being a mother. She poured her heart and soul into raising Carrie and paved the way for her to raise three boys of her own.
