Employment: Starting in 1941, Quentin farmed various farms in Shelby County until he settled on the family farm NE of Harlan in 1948. He retired from farming in 1984. In the 1970's, he was also a co-owner of the A&P Appliance Store in Harlan.

Hobbies/Interests: Quentin also was an active member of the Masonic Parian Lodge No. 321 of Harlan, IA; Abu-Bekr Shrine Temple of Sioux City, IA; the Harlan Shrine T Patrol, and Eastern Star. During Quentin’s retirement years, Phyllis and he spent time relaxing at their place at Blackhawk Lake where Quentin loved to fish.
