Survived by: Daughters: Fayetta (spouse, Richard) Fields of Glenrock, WY, and Kay (spouse, John) Gerholdt of Wichita Falls, TX; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Guyett of Harlan, IA; other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Roy and Winnie (nee Prindle) Richards; husband of nearly 50 years, Pete (deceased Aug. 15, 1991); brother, Harold Richard; sister, Clarabel Nielsen

Employment: After she completed teacher training, she taught school at Wood River, NE. Then, after her marriage, Pete and Frances farmed near Kirkman, IA and then in the Corley, IA, area, until their retirement. After her children were grown, Frances worked as a waitress in Avoca and ran the Avoca Sale Barn Café for many years.

Hobbies/Interests: Frances always raised a garden and loved her cats. She was a 4-H leader; active in WSCS in Harlan, IA; she and her husband belonged to the Corley Social Club, Harlan Saddle Club, and Shelby County Farm Bureau.
