BELLA VISTA, AR ––

Gayle E. “Bob” Dittmer, 90, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Concordia Health & Rehab, Bella Vista, AR. He was born November 12, 1922 in Shelby, the son of John Dittmer and Ferne Brown Dittmer. Bob served in the U.S. Army during WWII where he was stationed in Hawaii.

Bob married Juanita Howe on September 22, 1940 in Council Bluffs. He farmed in Iowa until retiring and moving to Bella Vista, AR in 1984. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, AR.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Lawrence. He is survived by his wife Juanita Dittmer, of Bella Vista, AR; son Ted Leon Dittmer and his wife Priscilla of Clearwater, CO; daughters: Ann Lynn Wymore and her husband Richard of St. Louis, MO; Teri Rose Wernsman and her husband Neal of Fleming, CO; and Tammy Jo Jess and her husband Joel of Pekin, IL; brother Willard Dittmer of Shelby; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, AR with Pastor Jamie Alexander officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Circle of Life Hospice, Alzheimer’s Association or your local church in his name.

Gayle E. "Bob" Dittmer, 90, Bella Vista, AR, died Saturday, May 11 at Concordia Health and Rehab in Bella Vista.

Services will be held Friday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.

Dittmer is survived by his wife, Juanita Dittmer, of Bella Vista; son Ted Leon (Priscilla) Dittmer of Clearwater, CO; daughters Ann Lunn (Richard) Wymore of St. Louis, MO, Teri Rose (Neal) Wernsman of Fleming, CO and Tammy Jo (Joel) Jess of Pekin, IL; brother Willard Dittmer of Shelby; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
