Vincent Blaine Nelson, 92, died in Gulfport, MS January 31, 2013.

Vince was born in Shelby County, August 6, 1920 to the late CW “Chris” and Cordellia (Wittrup) Nelson.

Vince married the late Elaine Miller June 30, 1943. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy’s Construction Battalion in the Pacific. He farmed in Shelby County before becoming a pastor. He was ordained May 24, 1966 in Laurel, MT and served churches in Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Nevada and Colorado.

Vince is survived by one brother, Gailard (Marge) Nelson of Littleton, CO; four children, Marc (Zay) Nelson of Denver, CO; Nikki (Jerry) Brannen of Gulfport, MS; TK (Connie) Nelson of Seattle, WA; and James (Brenda) Nelson of South Sioux City, NE; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Harlan Cemetery in Harlan. Memorials may be given to a church or charity of your choice.
