IRENE ELIZABETH GREEN, 89, of Harlan, died Wed., July 4th, at Mercy Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial service for IRENE GREEN will be held at 11-a.m. Sat., July 7th, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 8am-9pm Fri., July 6th, with a Rosary at 7-p.m. Family will greet friends from 5-8pm on Friday.

Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery.

IRENE GREEN is survived by:
Her daughters – Mary Jo (Darrell) Klein, of Omaha; Teresa (Tom) Scherer, of Centennial, CO., & Geralyn (Arian) Christensen, of Harlan;
Her sons – Robert Green, and Leo (Sandy) Green, all of Omaha, and Tom (Colette) Green, of Harlan;
Her sisters – Pat Shea, and Rita Gubbles, both of Council Bluffs, and Sister Jeanne O’Rourke, of Omaha;
Her brothers – Don O’Rourke, of Council Bluffs, & Rev. Charles O’Rourke, of Bellevue, NE.;
17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial for 89 year old Irene Green of Harlan will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 7 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan. Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery. Irene passed away on Wednesday, July 4th at Mercy hospital. Survivors include her children: Mary Jo (Darrell) Klein, Robert Green, and Leo Green all of Omaha, NE; Teresa (Tom) Scherer of Centennial, CO; Tom Green, and Gerilyn (Arlan) Christensen all of Harlan; 3 Sisters; 2 Brothers; 17 Grandchildren; and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements where visitation will be held from 8am to 9pm on Friday July 6th with family greeting friends from 5 to 8pm and praying of the rosary starting at 7pm.
