Ronald Edward Pitt, age 75, of Maud, Texas, passed away June 8, 2012, at his residence.

Ronald was born in Woodbine, Iowa, on September 19, 1936, to Harold and Emma (Wiepert) Pitt. On March 10, 1957, he was united in marriage to Florice Bridges in Dallas, Texas. Ronald was an Air Force Veteran and had also retired from the Dallas Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Reid, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother, Raymond Pitt, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren of Texas; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Adams, of Underwood, Iowa, David Andersen, of Shelby, Iowa and Terry Baker, of Council Bluffs.

Survivors include his wife, Florice Pitt, of Maud, Texas; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Pitt, Jr., of Rogers, Ark., and David Sr. and wife, Valerie, of Terrell, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi Pitt, of Eugene, Ore., David Wayne Pitt, Jr., and wife, Laura, of Scurry, Texas, Cassidie Peschel, Chad Pitt, Tawnya Pitt, all of Rogers, Ark., Kyan Pitt, of Garland, Texas; and two great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Dorothy Andersen, of Shelby, Barbara Adams and Margaret Baker, of Council Bluffs, Betty Wright (Douglas, Sr.), of Crescent, Iowa; two brothers, Stanley (Darlene) Pitt, of Logan, Iowa and Melvin (Alice) Pitt, of Council Bluffs; brother-in-law, Rick Reid, Sr., of Council Bluffs; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
