Harlan, Iowa. Died Friday, June 22, 2012. He is survived by his children: Eugene (Bernice) Stolz of Omaha, NE; Charlene (Russell) Morfeld of Omaha; Jo Ann (Wes) Walker of Defiance, IA; Merrill (Elaine) Stolz, Jr. of Henderson, NV; Gary (Arlene) Stolz of Alpine, CA; Joe (Julie) Stolz of Omaha; Diane (Dick) Mulligan of Defiance; Dewayne Stolz of Portsmouth, IA; Mary Jane (Cletus) Gubbels of Harlan, IA; and his sisters: Lois Koester of Earling, IA and Wilma Mohr of Denison, IA.

VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 2-9:00pm at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home, Harlan, Iowa. MASS will be Wednesday, June 27, 2011, 10:30am at St. Michael's Catholic Church - Harlan, Iowa.

MERRILL GEORGE STOLZ, 95, of Harlan, died Fri., June 22nd, at the Elm Crest Retirement Home in Harlan. A Mass of Christian Burial service for MERRILL STOLZ will be held 10:30-a.m. Wed., June 27th, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 2-9pm Tue., June 26th, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary service at 7-p.m.

Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Defiance.

MERRILL STOLZ is survived by:

His sons – Eugene (Bernice) Stolz, of Omaha; Merrill Stolz, Jr., & wife Elaine, of Henderson, NV; Gary (Arlene) Stolz, of Alpine, CA; Joe (Julie) Stolz, of Omaha; and Dewayne Stolz, of Portsmouth;
His daughters – Charlene (Russell) Morfeld, of Omaha; Jo Ann (Wes) Walker, and Diane (Dick) Mulligan, all of Defiance; and Mary Jane (Cletus) Gubbels, of Harlan;
His sisters – Lois Koester, of Earling, and Wilma Mohr, of Denison;
15 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial for 95 year old Merrill George Stolz of Harlan will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 27 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan. Burial will be in the St.'s Peter and Paul Cemetery in Defiance. Merrill passed away on Friday, June 22 in the Elm Crest Assisted Living. Survivors include his children: Eugene (Bernice) Stolz, Charlene (Russell) Morfeld, Joe (Julie) Stolz all of Omaha, NE; Jo Ann (Wes) Walker, and Diane (Dick) Mulligan all of Defiance; Merrill Stolz, Jr. (Elaine) of Henderson, NV; Gary (Arlene) Stolz of Alpine, CA; Dewayne Stolz of Portsmouth; Mary Jane (Cletus) Gubbels of Harlan; 15 Grandchildren; 28 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Lois Koester of Earling and Wilma Mohr of Denison. Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements where visitation will be held from 2 to 9pm on Tuesday, June 26 with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7pm.
