John Carey Propp passed away on May 31, 2012, at his home in Council Bluffs. John did offshore oil drilling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Propp and Barbara "Sullivan" Propp.

John is survived by his wife, Sue; 2 daughters, Amanda Propp, of Harlan, Iowa and Leslie Propp, of Council Bluffs.

Private family gathering will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family.
