Mass of Christian Burial for 89 year old Eileen McGinn of Dunlap will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 17 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Eileen McGinn passed away on Wednesday, March 14 at the Dunlap Nursing & Rehab Center. Survivors include 6 sons; Richard (Barb) McGinn of Lincoln, Dennis (Peggy) McGinn of Glenwood, Marc (Debbie) McGinn of Jefferson, Gene (Irene) McGinn of Logan, Kevin McGinn of Manilla, Brian (Sue) McGinn of Dunlap, and sister Ramona Berens of Dunlap. The Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap is in charge of arrangements where visitation begins at 2pm on Friday, March 16 with the family greeting friends from 4 to 8pm and a scripture service at 7:30pm.

Eileen Marie (Mahlberg) McGinn was born on July 18, 1922, to Henry and Josephine (Klein) Mahlberg in Panama, Iowa. She was raised near Dunlap and attended country school and the Dunlap Public School. Eileen married Donald McGinn on July 24, 1946, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap. The couple lived in various places in Iowa before moving to Maryland for two years. When they returned to Dunlap, Eileen worked for the Four County Lanes and the Dunlap Livestock Auction. Donald died in 1991. Eileen married Dick Hanson on April 9, 1994.

Eileen was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap. She enjoyed crocheting, watching sports ~ especially baseball, but most of all she enjoyed life and having fun.

Eileen died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 89 years, seven months, and 25 days.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald McGinn on December 17, 1991; second husband, Dick Hanson on September 1, 2007; brothers, Roman, Delmar, Henry, Bill and Jack Mahlberg; and sisters, Clothilda Lyman and Gert O'Day. She is survived by her six sons, Richard (Barb) McGinn of Lincoln, NE, Dennis (Peggy) McGinn of Glenwood, IA, Marc (Debra) McGinn of Jefferson, IA, Gene (Irene) McGinn of Logan, IA, Kevin McGinn of Manilla, IA, and Brian (Sue) McGinn of Dunlap, IA; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Ramona Berens of Dunlap, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
