For physicians practicing in Scott Co., Iowa in 1921/22, Google the phrase "Journal of the Iowa Medical Society, Volume 12." Use "Davenport" in the search feature. A quick glance shows that about 1/2 of the doctors had German surnames. In the 1921 Davenport, Iowa City Directory, there are 64 physicians listed. This city directory can be accessed via Ancestry.com. In the 1920 federal census for Davenport, only 1 family has a head of household listed as "Indian." That of:
