To Whom it May Concern,
I work with the American Museum of Natural History's Fossil Amphibian, Reptile, and Bird Collections. I have a strange question that you may be able to shed some light on. In our collections, a few years back, I found a scrap of paper that from time to time I try to figure out. What it says is very tantalizing and I'd love to see if I can find the rest of the text and to what it refers. I thought you just might be able to offer some suggestions as to its origins since it mentions Prof. David S. Sheldon, of Griswold College (The first president of The Academy of Sciences - University of Iowa). If you are interested, please email me and I can send you the available text from the scrap. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks a lot
