Funeral services for Marlyn Stange, 49, Walcott, a former Clarence resident, were held at Davenport Jan. 7 with burial at Walcott. Mr. Stange died at Good Samaritan hospital, Los Angeles, Calif.

Born Jan. 14, 1936, he married Rita Ethridge in Oxford Junction, Oct 19, 1958. He was a veteran of the Korean war. He was a supervisor at AT&T, Davenport. Before that he had been employed by Bell Telephone Co. in Cedar Rapids, Burlington, Iowa City and Davenport.

He was active in Little League baseball, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Walcott Community club, Bell Telephone Pioneers and the National Rifle association.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Craig, Atlanta, Ga. and Curt, Walcott, a grandson; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stange, Monticello; a sister, Carma Jean Clark, Jacksonville, Fla. and 2 brothers, Denny, Maquoketa and Ronnie, Solon.
