Final rites for Mrs. Edgar (Edna M.) Van Antwerp, 77, were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Davenport, April 9 with the Rev. Ronald J. Lavin officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery, Davenport.

Pallbearers were Harlan and Robert C. Ahlgren, Darwyn and Paul Van Gorp, Douglas Brobst and Donald Mesecher.

The daughter of Edwin H. and Elizabeth Brown Snyder, she was born at Columbus City, Dec. 5, 1899 and educated in the Cedar Rapids schools. She was married to Oscar A. Ahlgren at Cedar Rapids, June 7, 1922. He preceded her in death. She married Edgar J. Van Antwerp at Davenport, March 15, 1975.

She was a resident of Davenport for 45 years and had lived at Cedar Valley for 2 years. She served as a secretary for the Boy Scouts of America in Davenport for several years and was a member of the Women's auxiliary of the International Typographical Union.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Harlan E. Ahlgren, Westminister, Calif., and Robert C. Ahlgren, Davenport; 2 daughters, Mrs. Darwin (Jeannine) Van Gorp, Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. A. Wayne (Marlyn) Sarchette, Concord, Calif., 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, a son and a brother.
