Davenport
Alice J. Hebbel, 95, a resident of Davenport, died Friday, July 29, 2022 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday at church. Memorials may be made to Handicapped Development Center. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice was born August 1, 1926 in Davenport, the daughter of Shirley and Ora (Brawner) Jones. She married Allen Hebbel, September 1, 1946. He preceded her in death March 1, 2007.
Alice was a 1944 graduate of Davenport High School. She worked in computers for J.I. Case for 10 years and later for Caterpillar for 16 years. Alice was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and shopping. Alice was an excellent care giver throughout her life, caring for her mother, husband, son, and sister when they needed support.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons and their wives, Denny and Nancie Hebbel of Davenport, Greg and Karen Hebbel of Estes Park, Colorado, and Scott and Melinda Hebbel of Bloomington, Illinois; grandchildren, Jodi and her husband, Nate Judkins of Longmont, Colorado, Matthew Hebbel of Davenport, and Adam Hebbel of Raleigh, North Carolina; great-grandson, Gregory Judkins of Longmont, Colorado.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Don Jones, Dottie Ingersoll and Ardis Clark.
