Charlotte “Kay” Schleisman, 87, of Bettendorf passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Hope Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kay was born on August 6, 1934 in Webster City, Iowa, to Elmer and Dimple (Rector) Raven. She was a graduate of Webster City High School. In 1953 she married Lloyd Schleisman in Webster City. Kay worked as an office manager at various accounting and tax offices in the Quad City area. She was an active member at Hope Church and participated in numerous mission trips. Through her missionary work she traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad, including El Salvador, Spain, Ireland, and Jamaica. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, crocheting, needle point, and was an avid card player. Kay loved spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma.

Those left to honor her memory are her sons, Mark (Kim) Schleisman of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Brent (Suellen) Schleisman of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; six grandchildren, Danielle (Anthony) Schleisman, Eric (Saysha) Schleisman, Andrew Schleisman, Aaron Schleisman, Elle Schleisman, and Irelen Schleisman; four great-grandchildren, Malani, Kenley, Cody, and Tavien; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Schleisman of Bettendorf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; son, Scott Schleisman; and brother, Ron Raven.
