Lanette F. Nation, 65, of Milan, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Lanette was born on July 16, 1956, in Bloomfield, IA, the daughter of Glenn and Ruth (Gardner) Latta. She was the owner/operator of Nation’s Therapeutic Massage in Milan. Previously she owned/operated Nation’s Hair Designs in Rock Island. Lanette loved to work and socialize with her clients. She was good at learning how to use new technology, and could be found playing video games with her children a time or two. Lanette enjoyed doing arts and crafts, she got into bead work, sculpting, resin, etc. She was an avid movie watcher and was into an array of music genres. Lanette will be remembered as being a mother figure and great friend to many. She always made the time to reach out and check on people or lend a helping hand when needed. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Dinner was important times for them, as they either went to their favorite restaurants or enjoyed her home cooked meals.

Lanette is survived by her children, Alexa Nation, Alexander Nation, and Aric Nation; sisters, Cynthia (Steve) Hackett, Glenda (Dale) Krauss, and Conny Latta; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Glenn and Judy Latta and her mother and step-father, Ruth and Bob Anderson.
