Dale Martin Arentson, 100, of Eldridge, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 12:30 pm at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 775 E. LeClaire Rd., Eldridge, IA with visitation from 10 am until noon, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Dale was born in Harlan, Iowa on January 6, 1922. He was the son of Martin and Vina (Nelson) Arentson. He married Phyllis Ashbaugh in Minneapolis, MN. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2017, after 68 years of marriage. Dale started his teaching career in Minneapolis but spent most of his career at North Scott, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the North Scott Fitness Center until he turned 90. He was a lifelong member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Those honoring his life include his daughters, Betty Beisker of Ames, IA and Sandy (John) Green of Eldridge; grandchildren, Melissa (Brad) Kruse and Tyler (Jenni) Green; great grandchildren, Collin, Carter, McKinley, Otto, Sunny & Silas and a sister, Rosalie French, Harlan, IA. In addition to his wife, Dale was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elaine Scull and Eleanor Allan.
