BETTENDORF-Kenneth L. Martin, 83, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Ken will be laid to rest in Waterloo, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Ken's name. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Ken was born on July 19, 1938 in Stonewall, MS, to Merdick and Cleo Martin. On December 24, 1960 he married Sandra Blonigan. They have enjoyed 61+ years of marriage. Before retirement, Ken enjoyed a successful 37 year career with Eagle Foods, working his way up from bagboy to vice president of operations and marketing.

Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and training his Labradors. He also achieved his private pilots' license and loved to fly. Ken was very dedicated to his friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife; son, Scott (Heidi) Martin; grandson, Caleb Martin; and sister, Wanda Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Jacob and his niece, Scarlett Stephens.
