Adella M. Martinez, 92, of Buffalo, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport. The Mass will be livestreamed by visiting https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFcpGJB4b6cbWTDvn-c14EA Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass Friday at church. Memorials may be made to the family to establish at a later date.

Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Adella was born on December 15, 1929 in Truman, Minnesota, a daughter of Cruz and Esperanza (Lopez) Martinez. She worked for 20 years at Continental Baking Company, retiring in 1991.

Adella cherished her large family and would take turns spending time at their homes where they all kept her busy, whether it was watching her “novelas” her Mexican soap operas or late night trips to the casino she was always entertained! Adella enjoyed sewing, knitting, cross-stitching, and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards and gardening.

Survivors include her children: Linda (Chuck) Qualman, Clinton, Irma Constantino, Allen, Texas, Hope Constantino, Davenport, Adella (Joseph) Smith, Attalla, Alabama, Benny Constantino, Davenport, Angela (Frank) Herrera, Clinton, and Rosa (Roy) Kuhrt, Buffalo; twenty-seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren: siblings: Vincent (Lupe) Martinez, Davenport, Hilbert Martinez, Buzzard Bay, Massachusetts, John (Deanna) Guizar, Buffalo, Bill (Nancy) Guizar, Davenport, and Joe (Mary) Guizar, Buffalo.

She was preceded in death by her sons: Alfonso and Tony Constantino, son-in-law, Mike Constantino, grandson, Mario Lira, Sr., her parents, and siblings: Lupe Serrano, Frank Martinez, and Ray Martinez.
