Donald L. Dirck, 90, of Milan, passed away Sunday November 7, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10am Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Attendees are asked to wear a mask to services. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Youth Hope, Heritage Church or Wellsprings of Freedom.

Donald was born on January 10, 1931 in Moline the son of Ira and Catherine (Anderson) Dirck. He married Marjorie Reason on June 20, 1954. He was a graduate of Moline High School and later attended Augustana College.

Mr. Dirck had been employed by Farmall for over 30 years in data processing. After retiring from Farmall, he had been employed at Illini Hospital for 11 years.

Donald was a active member of Heritage Church, Rock Island. He had also been active as a Boy Scout Leader, who took his sons on camping trips locally as well as around the country and had served as a missionary in various countries in Africa and Asia. Don loved sharing the gospel and kept in close contact with friends they made on their journeys. His heart was in Christ and he displayed Christ’s love to all.

Donald loved traveling with his wife, Marjorie and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Keith and Kim Dirck, Geneva, IL, Kent and Sophina Dirck, East Moline, Kerry and Danya Dirck, Bartlett, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Danny.
