Gary Versluys Sr., 73, of Moline, passed away, Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his residence.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Private family services will be held. Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Gary was born on April 6, 1948, in Moline, the son of Gordon and Myrtle (Berg) Versluys. Gary served in the United States Navy. He went on to work for John Deere as a welder until he retired in 2004. Gary enjoyed watching westerns and hearing stories about his great grandkids. He had a love for bald eagles and collecting a variety of figurines and statues.

Survivors include children, Michelle Edmund, Milissa and Shaun Harris, Gary “Bo” Versluys Jr., and Milinda Halsall; siblings, Bill Versluys, Rod Versluys, Deloris Lalamen, and Tina Schmidt; 10 granchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
